Objectives - After Attending This Program You Should Be Able To
1.     Outline the 10 principles of attachment theory and how they help the therapists stay relevant and on target in every session.
2.     Identify ways to shape a safe haven alliance with clients that fosters collaboration and full engagement in sessions.
3.     Use the map provided by EFT to assess client difficulties and to formulate a coherent picture of the negative cycles of emotion regulation and interpersonal engagement that block growth and set up the emotional disorders - anxiety and depression.
4.     Describe the 3 stages of EFT including how to create a stabilizing secure base in clients before moving on to shape corrective emotional experiences in Stage 2 of EFT.
5.     Outline the 5 moves of the EFT Tango and how this macro-intervention is used across the stages of EFT and with individuals, couples and families.
6.     Describe the key change process of how to systematically assemble core emotions and deepen them to expand the sense of self and the ability to engage fully with others.
7.     Pinpoint the micro-interventions that both create safety and set up challenges and exploration for clients.
8.     Describe the attachment concept of healthy functioning and how to craft potent change events in EFT sessions (events that revise models of self and other).
9.     Describe how to move past common blocks in the change process with numbed or agitated clients and resolve injuries to attachment figures – partners or family members.
10.   Outline how to work with difficult concerns, complex PTSD, chronic depression, escalated couples, or chaotic families.
