Description Template

You can use custom description templates to make your eBay listings look even more awesome.  If you're looking for a design firm to create a custom eBay theme, please contact our partner, Frooition (official eBay template design partner) -- ask for Andrew Evans and let them know you're with Zentail. Here's how to get your custom description template implemented quickly:

  1. Insert our tags into your template:
    • {{product.overridden_title}}
    • {{nl2br_description}}
    • {{product.image_url_1}}
    • {{product.image_url_2}}
    • {{product.image_url_3}}
    • {{product.image_url_4}}
    • {{product.image_url_5}}
    • {{product.image_url_6}}
    • {{product.image_url_7}}
    • {{product.image_url_8}}
    • {{product.image_url_9}}
    • Bullet points can be included with: bullet_points_ul which will create a list containing the bullet points
  2. Send your template (typically .txt format) to support@zentail.com with the subject "Implementation Request: eBay Custom Description Template"

  2. Click "My eBay" at the top of the page =>
  3. On the summary page, click "Manage My Store" => Click Edit Store

  5. Scroll down and select "1 Text Section / HTML" from the drop-down menu => Click "Continue."
  6. Type a title for your custom storefront in the Page Title field.
  7. Click the "Enter Your Own HTML" tab in Text Section 1 => Copy the HTML code for your custom store template, then paste it into the text field.
  8. Click "Hide Left Navigation Bar" if your custom theme does not use the left navigation bar or "Show Left Navigation Bar" if it does => Click "Continue."
  9. Click "Save and Publish" on the preview page. EBay directs you to the Custom Pages summary page.
  10. Scroll down and click the drop-down menu under "Store Homepage" => Click the name of the custom store you uploaded, then click "Apply" to use the store template.

Upload Custom Header

  1. Log in to your eBay seller account at eBay.com.
  2. Click "My eBay" then "Manage My Store" then "Display Settings"
  3. Click "Change to Another Theme" under "Theme and Display" =>  Click "Easily Customizable" under "Themes"

  5. Click "Change" in the Store Header Display section => Click "Yes, include additional information in the header"
