Create a merchant fulfilled SKU that automatically routes to FBA

Last updated about 4 years ago

Zentail has a number of features that allow you to get creative with your catalog! You can create Kits, you can dynamically reprice on Amazon or on Walmart.com, you can use title, description, and price overrides, and you can create Alias SKUs. In this article, we'll review a creative way to utilize the alias feature.

By the end of this article, you'll be able to create a non-FBA listing on Amazon that, when purchased by a customer, will automatically route to your FBA warehouse.

The reason you may want to use this feature is to attract sales from non-prime members. You can have your FBA SKU priced at a certain price, which includes free shipping for prime members, and then price your "merchant fulfilled" SKU at a price that makes sense for you and the shopper. Perhaps you'll offer free-shipping, so you'll want to include that cost in the price of your product.

  1. Find the FBA SKU you would like to use (this is what your merchant-fulfilled SKU will route to when an order comes in from Amazon)
  2. Clone the SKU in Zentail (This step is optional. You can also create a new SKU however you wish, or skip to step 3 and use an existing SKU)
  3. Make the cloned SKU an Alias of the FBA SKU
  4. If necessary, adjust the price of your new SKU
  5. Set it to List!
If you are listing this alias SKU to the same listing, you may want to use Zentail's Auto-flip FBA to MF feature. This prevents Zentail from listing both the FBA and MF version of the same SKU (meaning they are merged in Zentail) to Amazon at once.
